During these last months, it has once again become apparent to me that our precious Lord has a glorious perspective that we just cannot fathom with human efforts. "My thoughts are not your thoughts; My ways are not your ways." It is only as we allow ourselves to sit in the Lord's Presence every morning and quiet our hearts to listen that He gives us His peace and promises for the day ahead.
Bobby always told me that the reason "Musicianaries International" was not called "Bobby Michaels' Ministry" is that the Lord wanted this organization to continue its effective outreach across the nations regardless who guided the decisions and made the arrangements. We all know there will always be the call for God's Great Commission which seems to be so readily heard and received by people, like the Cambodians, who are hurting and in need.
In April, our ministry Board of Directors elected Jim McCandliss to be the new President of Musicianaries in Bobby's absence. Jim has a dedicated heart for this ministry, has participated with us on many mission outreaches to several countries, and comes with years of experience in music ministries and non-profit organizations. He has already assembled a team to start the reorganization process.
Jim and Cheryl McCandliss and John and Regina Clark will be leading our international outreach team to Cambodia in July. The team will personally distribute the 400 tons of rice, donated by hundreds of generous ministry partners, to villagers located all over the country. At these distributions, our team will hand out scriptures and literature, be conducting medical clinics, distributing school supplies and uniforms, and personal hygiene items. We will also have the opportunity to perform several outreach concerts where Cambodian Bible students, team members, and local pastors minister one-on-one with the people attending. We always see changed hearts and hopeful futures in the people the Lord leads us to minister to during these events.
As in each journey that we have undertaken in the last 20 years, we are once again trusting the Lord for complete provision through the generous partners who "travel with us" through their prayers and financial support. We prayerfully ask you to consider how the Lord might lead you to participate with us. Below are several specific needs for the Cambodia trip:
Sponsor one day of outreach* - $300
Medicine for village clinics - $2500
Sound system for outreach concerts - $4500
Scriptures and literature - $3000

3/31/2009 : Message from Lee and Rachel...
Our hearts are aching as we tell you that Bobby passed away this evening shortly after going into the operating room. Before the surgeons started the operation, Bobby's heart stopped with an instant "flat-line". The medical team tried for 45 minutes to resuscitate him but his heart did not respond.
We are deeply saddened by our loss...but rejoice that Bobby did get totally healed...with a new heart, kidneys, and any other part that might have needed fixing. The Lord knew the plans He had for Bobby...and today was his graduation day as he went to the One he loved the most and served so faithfully. We know he was carried away in the arms of Jesus.
Words cannot express our thanks for all the love, prayers, and notes of encouragement that have come to us by everyone who have been touched by Bobby's life. Our prayer for all of you is that you will experience the same peace and comfort that we have received from the Father.
